Medeu
High-altitude ice rink in the Malaya Almatinka gorge and the starting point for Shymbulak.
Medeu is the famous high-altitude ice rink at 1,691 m, 15 km from the centre. Skating in winter; all year round the cable car to Shymbulak starts here. Nearby are the mudflow-protection dam and walking trails.
