Talgar Peak

4,979 m – the highest point of the Trans-Ili Alatau. Best admired from afar: from Shymbulak and Talgar.

Talgar Peak is the range’s highest summit and the symbol of the district. Climbing it is for experienced mountaineers only, so the portal offers the best viewpoints instead: the Talgar Pass above Shymbulak, roads above Talgar and the lower gorge.
