Turgen Gorge
A mountain gorge with a river and waterfalls east of Talgar – the road to the Assy Plateau starts here.
The Turgen Gorge lies in the Zailiysky Alatau east of Talgar. A river, wooded slopes and waterfalls make it a good one-day trip from Almaty. The road to the Assy Plateau starts here – that is a separate jeep tour. National park visiting conditions are confirmed before the trip.
